In season 47, his 17th season of racing, Little Monster decided to retired.
The season 31 almost ended when was knocking on our door and asking us to hire him for a bargain of 120k from Quick step minded. He promised to race hard and any time we will ask him to ride.
Now he is leaving the team with most prize money earned for PEKAC B from all active riders we have in the team and 3rd all time.
His major achievements we would like to highlight are:
- Earning 386 000 prize money;
- Winning all English HL / FR races in the top division, namely York-Manchester, Liverpool-Leeds and Colchester-Saffron Walden. There are only 4 other riders with the same achievement;
- Scoring above 1000 points in 90 days, being in top 20 of OCM and being Portuguese national champion beating riders like Santiago Campelo, Armando Silveira, Lúcio César or Sebastião Cesário;
- Finishing sixth in Giro di Montelbano and Cymru Taith;
- Winning both U23 HL races in the top division, Studley Royal Heritage Cup (U23) and Trofeo Comuni del Gargano (U23).
For sure, we could see significantly more remarkable results in the OCM history but hardly any of them was achieved by a rider maxed at 40 av who grew thanks to race training to all of 42.
Most of the success he gained because he loved racing. He was water carrier or wind breaker in the incomplete CL team which we established that time and worthy helper in the HL team. Although he never intentionally do experience doped, his appetite allow him to gain very competitive level of experience which helped him to win races.
Thank you Rogério Lagos for your loyal service so far and for your commitment to stay with us as a trainer in the future.
